2 of 5 Norwegian Grammy Nominations go to Alex Herron

For the first time a director is nominated for 2 of 5 Norwegian Grammys (Spellemansprisen) for Best Music Video!  ALEX HERRON has received a nomination for both Bjoern Eidsvaag´s "Floden" and Christel Alsos´s "Come On". Both vids are produced for Norway´s largest label, Sony BMG.  Alex comments the historical double nomination simply by saying, "What a compliment!" He extends his thanks to the artists and the label for the chilled and creative cooperation we have had from treatment to master.  Alex and I, along with our co-producer Knut Inge Solbu, thank the label for their confindence in our vision for their music.  We look forward to continued success in 2007.  All the best to Christel, Bjoern, their managers, label reps. and our top-notch crew.  Thank you Anders Flatland for the great shots.  You will be seeing lots more from us in this new year, not the least of which for artists and labels outside of Norway.  Best regards to our friends, vendors and clients. Producer, Steve St. Peter

The Radio Film Directors' Latest for 2006

ALEX HERRON – Alex is currently cutting yet another video for Ministry of Sound shot in Malaysia to be post-produced in London.  He has had a productive spring with one to two promos each month!  Alex’s latest vids include Norway’s biggest music vid ever.  It was a three day shoot for Kristian Valen entitled “If I Was”.  The vid takes place in a war zone and is a showcase of Alex’s storytelling and action-scene directing abilities.  In addition Alex directed Norway’s Idol winner video as well as a new vid for Margaret Berger, entitled “Samantha” which is currently on heavy rotation on MTV Nordic.  Check out Alex’s director’s page to see some of his latest work!

MAGNUS MARTENS – Following the return from his second feature film this April, Magnus has been directing some of the most prominent ads in Norway.  His current client roster includes ads for: Norway’s largest newspaper (VG), The Norwegian Postal Service (Posten), Norway’s largest brewery (Ringnes) and Norway’s most popular soft drink (Solo).  In addition to his commercial work, he is currently writing scripts for a new TV series and his third feature.  But Magnus misses the conceptual and visual freedom of music promos and wants to get back into doing vids now.  He’s looks forward to writing treatments on pitches this fall!  Check out his page!

HALLGRIM HAUG – Hal has just returned from a well-deserved vacation following a month long stint in Germany covering the World Cup for TV2 Norway as a producer for the channel.  Since the Spring, Hal has also directed a number of ads and promos for TV and written several treatments, competing for top music videos here and abroad. Hal and I have just concluded a pitch for Lovebugs from Switzerland and are looking forward to pitching on vids for your artists!

HOWIE ARNSTAD – Howie is currently in development with a music documentary. He is completing the script on the project which has just received funding.  For the most part Howie has been doing TV ads and promos for one of Norway’s most popular radio stations (P3) and Norway’s best winter sports channel (NRK).  In addition to all this Howie has just won an award as co-director of his internationally released ski film “Teddy Bear Crisis”.  Howie has 12 music vids on his reel now and is looking forward to building his repertoire even more.  He is ready to pitch his ideas for your projects!  Check out his director’s page and you will see diversity and great performances.
